HIDS 17505
Rule 17505 | |
---|---|
Status | Active |
Alert Message | Plesk console login failure |
Contents |
[edit] Description
This rule detects when a user attempts to log into the Plesk console, and fails to authenticate properly. This is either because the username is wrong, the password is wrong or both.
Authentication is controlled by Plesk, and disabling this rule will not allow the user to log in. Disabling this rule will prevent the software from both alerting when failed logins occur, and also detecting brute force attacks against Plesk.
