The CIS Compliance scanner is reporting that the security control passed previously and is now failing

[edit] What you should do

This means that the CIS compliance framework previously tested the system for a component (example: webserver) and that it passed. Since then the component was updated and this new test is changing the state of the test to failed. Investigate the system to identify what part of the configuration has changed and update it to meet the requirements of the benchmark.
