Built in Support

ASL 2.2 includes built in support for the following Virtualization technologies:

 vserver
 kvm/qemu
 lguest
 xen
 VMWare(TM)

These technologies are either built into the kernel (vserver, kvm/qemu, lguest and xen), and therefore you can fully replace your kernel if you are using these technologies with the ASL secure kernel, or as with VMWare(TM), you can use the ASL kernel in most cases on the host system and definitely in the guest virtual machines.

ASL includes full virtualization capabilities including:

 vserver
 kvm/qemu
 lguest
 xen

This means you can use ASL for your virtualization needs if you prefer to use the above technologies.

Works With

ASL will also work with the following virtualization technologies, however you can not install the ASL kernel:

 Virtuozzo
 OpenVZ]
Personal tools
